Hi, I'm Silviu Paduraru — a software developer and father of two young daughters. StoryPic Books started the way many great things do — at bedtime. I discovered that our favorite part of the day was creating stories together before sleep. But I wanted something more — stories where they could see themselves as the heroes, exploring magical worlds alongside their favorite characters.
What began as a personal project to bring those bedtime moments to life has grown into something I hope every family can enjoy. Today, StoryPic Books lets parents and children create personalized storybooks together, turning imagination into illustrated stories in minutes.
The first storybook I made was for my older daughter's fourth birthday — a 12-page adventure where she rescued a friendly dragon. Her reaction ("that's me!") was the moment I knew this had to exist for every family. We started building publicly in early 2026, shipped the first public version after months of weekend coding, and have been adding new artistic styles and story templates with feedback from real parents ever since.
